The yoga world has a tendency to treat teacher training as the natural next step for anyone whose practice matures past a certain point. That assumption deserves scrutiny. A 200-hour YTT is a significant financial and time commitment — often $2,000–$5,000 and several weeks of intensive immersion — and it is designed primarily to produce teachers, not deepen personal practitioners. If you have no intention of standing at the front of a room, the calculus changes considerably.
